A partly cloudy, not as warm, drier and less humid weather update for West Rockville Maryland for Tuesday June 20 2017

Tuesday was a partly cloudy day, with some good fair-weather cumulus buildups in the afternoon, not as warm or humid, and was dry.  High temperatures rose today with strong sun into the mid 80s after a not as warm and muggy early AM min in the mid 60s. My newly acquired Taylor Max/Min thermometer maxed out at 95.2°, too warm for an official high temperature.  At about 0605 we have clear skies for the sunrise that just occurred at 0543 with temperatures in the mid 60s. The minimum temperature (67.0°) was recorded at 0545 while the maximum temperature (85.2°) was recorded at 1549. Dew point temperatures dropped today into more comfortable levels, ranging from 70° to 56°. Relative humidity values dropped off a bit from yesterday’s (90% – 41%).  Barometric values rose from yesterday’s values, ranging from 30.00″ at 1040 to 29.88″ at 0112.

I got up mid-day from neck discomfort and occasional shooting pains depending on how I oriented my neck. I got Mike to give me a ride into Kaiser at 3 PM, where I saw my main doctor Dr. K. He worked me over a bit and eliminated a few possibilities, coming to a decision that I am having muscle spasms. He prescribed me Tylenol 3 and a lanacaine creme to topically apply to the affected area. So far some relief but the shooting pains have not stopped completely. Time will tell.  I had a late bunch of cereal just before leaving for the doctor, but had no time for coffee today.  I checked my email when I returned from the Doctor around 4 PM, and talked with Tracy before she started work at 5 PM, and then later on with Marty and Ray about weather, health issues and other matters.  I then had a small dinner of a bowl of butternut squash soup and a seafood salad sandwich on rye. I had a few triscuits and cashews well after dinner.  I continued to work a bit more on the newly “hatched” Weatherquack weather website which should be fun in the coming months.  I hope some of you out there will join in the fun soon on Weatherquack http://www.weatherquack.com – it is completely free and easy to use once you complete your registration and a short ramping up period.   I also drank a good part of my ginormous water bottle throughout the evening and early morning hours.

We now have sunny, dry skies with temperatures in the mid to upper 60s over an hour after sunrise at 0700.  Wednesday look to be sunny with scattered clouds at times, dry with highs in the upper 80s and lows in the mid 60s. Thursday should heat up again with partly cloudy skies and highs in the low 90s, lows in the low 70s. Friday looks mostly cloudy and wet, with an 80 POP for showers/storms as the remnants of TS Cindy approach the area along with a cold front that probably will stall, and give us a 70 POP for rain on Saturday with highs in the mid 80s and lows in the mid 60s.

On Channel 4 radar at 0736, our Monday showers have moved south and east and are stalled over NC and SE VA, with a lot more rain falling in the deep south from TS Cindy coming ashore.

As of 0736 EDT, the data from my balcony (VP2 and Taylor), the Lakewood Country Club WXBug station, and the USG VP2 station across the street is as follows:
