I got up in the mid-afternoon to get a shower and get some things done. I had a late brunch of cereal with a banana and a cup or two of coffee after my shower. I watched the Nats/Braves game in the early evening, won by the Braves 5-2.  I then cooked up 2 burgers on the stove, melting cheese on them towards the end of the cooking process, then toasted some brioche hamburger buns. I added the guacomole I made yesterday to the burgers for a good dinner along with a nice, big salad with many ingredients. I worked on some email in the evening along with the usual late night show fare and a conversation on the phone with my daughter Tracy on her way into her evening shift at La Mexicana and a real late conversation with Marty.  I also had some prune juice and hot and spicy low sodium V8 before dinner and a Klondike bar for dessert later. I continued to work a bit more on the newly “hatched” Weatherquack weather website which should be fun in the coming months. I am trying to help out one of the members with developing better communication for his work with NWS Skywarn and his informational website called Blue Ridge Weather Watch. I hope some of you out there will join in the fun on Weatherquack http://www.weatherquack.com – it is completely free and easy to use once you complete your registration and a short ramping up period.   I also drank a good part of my ginormous water bottle throughout the evening and early morning hours.

We now have cloudy skies with temperatures in the upper 60s at 0655.  Friday looks partly to mostly cloudy, with a 60 POP for showers/thundershowers, and high temps in the low-mid 80s with lows in the upper 60s. Saturday looks to be partly cloudy with highs in the mid 80s and a 60 POP for showers/storms and lows around 70°, with Sunday reaching the low 90s for high temps and a 50 POP for showers/storms. Right now Monday should be cloudy with highs in the low-mid 80s, lows in the mid 60s, and a 100 POP for showers/storms, some which may be heavy.

On Channel 4 radar at 0657, there are scattered areas of showers in the DC area, but not really near to my station. Further West and South are also showers in central WV and northwest VA at this time.
