A mostly sunny, slightly warmer, and dry weather update for West Rockville Maryland on Saturday June 3, 2017

Saturday continued yesterday’s sunny, warm, breezy at times conditions. Seasonally warm temperatures with scattered cumulus clouds at times with a bit warmer highs around 80° dominated the daylight hours, with once again no rain at all. At about 0600 we have clear skies with scattered clouds to make for a good sunrise with temperatures in the low 60s.  The minimum temperature (58.6°) was recorded at 0631 and the maximum temperature (79.7°) was recorded at 1741. Dew point temperatures stayed relatively low again today, ranging from 58° to 47°. Relative humidity values were roughly the same as yesterday (73% – 31%). Barometric values stayed close again and similar to yesterday, ranging from 30.04” at 0049 to 29.95” at 1723. We are really getting into a summer pattern with barometric pressure readings, with little variety from day to day and not much of a daily range of min/max values.

I got up in the early afternoon to go along with Marty to pick up my new computer office chair at the Staples store in Germantown. That process went very smoothly. We brought it back and Marty helped me greatly in successfully assembling the new chair that I am now very comfortably sitting in. Marty also tried to get my Radio Shack backup max/min thermometer running again, but to no avail. He took it home with him where he has more time to figure it out and more and better tools to take it apart more to find the problem with it. Then I started a brief dinner which was my favorite seafood salad and cajun crab salad and cheese, but this time on toasted rye. I also ate the rest of the sauteed veges that I cooked up yesterday, but added more mushrooms to it and also mushroom soup, milk and a bit of grated cheese. The other ingredients included onions, oyster mushrooms, garlic, zucchini and potatoes. It was a bit messy and I really heated it up good. I had spicy hot low sodium V8 before dinner.  I watched the Stanley Cup finals game 3 from Nashville TN, where the Predators defeated the Penguins 4-1 to narrow the series down to 2 games to 1 in favor of Pittsburgh. I also watched a part of the Nats game with Oakland, with the A’s winning 10-4. I continued  to  work a bit more on the newly “hatched” Weatherquack weather website which should be fun in the coming months. I helped out the creator get some answers to questions he had. Glad to help out. I hope some of you out there will join in the fun – it is completely free and easy to use once you complete your registration and a short ramping up period.   I also spent some time documenting problems I am having with old PEPCO and SUN TRUST bills – getting the docs emailed over to my advisor.  I also drank a good part of my ginormous water bottle throughout the evening and early morning hours.

We now have clear skies with scattered middle to high clouds with temperatures in the low 60s at about 0600. Sunday sunny with scattered clouds and warmer with highs in the mid-upper 80s and lows in the mid 60s. Monday looks like a 70 POP for showers/storms with partly cloudy skies, highs in the upper 70s and lows around 60°. Tuesday looks cloudy and rainy now (50 POP) and cooler, with highs in the mid 70s and lows in the low 50s. Wednesday looks even cooler (so nice!!!) with highs in the mid 60s and lows in the low 50s with a 40 POP for showers under partly cloudy skies

According to Channel 4 radar, there is a good bit of rain showing up in parts of MI heading east into southern ON bridging into parts of western NY at this time. There are scattered storms/showers in parts of the lower midwest and running in a narrow line from MI west into central WI and fading into parts of central IA.
